The series begins with the murder of Arconia resident and notorious socialite, Bunny Folger (Jayne Houdyshell). The police investigation that follows seems to be going badly, and the building's residents are left to guess about the killer's identity. That's when Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) decide to take action into their own hands. As amateur sleuths, the trio starts to examine the murder, motivated by their shared love of true crime podcasts and a desire to solve the case.
