Abruptly, a noise in the shrubbery caught Wapipi’s notice. Out came a majestic animal with shining scales and intense gaze. Wapipi stood paralyzed, uncertain if to strike or escape. But to his shock, the creature approached him with a gentle demeanor, as if detecting no damage.
